Of the sixty Champagne crus chosen to produce this emblematic cuvée, three are pillars of the Brut Réserve style. Oger: Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs gives it its fleshy and generous notes. Ambonnay: Grand Cru Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims is synonymous with power, structure and fruity notes. Verneuil: Meunier from the Vallée de la Marne ensures its balance and smooth texture. On the nose discover freshly baked brioche, roasted notes and ripe, sun-kissed fruits - mango, apricot, mirabelle plum - as well as dried fruits, pistachio and almond. The palate texture evokes the crunch of a layer of creamy nougat, with fleshy fruits like plums and cherries. The smoothness is provided by the selection of reserve wines. Church Road Chardonnay is a blend of wines from their best vineyards in the Tuki Tuki river valley, grown and crafted to deliver a full-bodied yet refined wine. This cooler wine growing district delivers beautifully fragrant Chardonnay with weight, minerality and fresh natural acidity. Subtle citrus, citrus flower, mineral, ripe melon, fig and hazelnut on the palate. The palate is full but elegant, with a seam of minerality adding length and balance.

Blends of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are one of the most challenging and exciting wine styles to produce. There is a synergy between these two varieties that produces some of the most complete, complex, fragrant and satisfying styles of red wine in the world. Hawke's Bay, along with parts of the California's Napa Valley, was identified by the U.K's Decanter magazine, as one of the few New World wine regions that could challenge Bordeaux in the production of such wines.

A fuller bodied Chardonnay balanced by gentle, fresh acidity and a spine of slate-like minerality. Fresh zesty citrus and citrus blossom notes are to the fore with riper, richer stonefruit underlying and providing extra depth.
