In 1839, Charles Tanqueray created a spiced gin using botanicals from Malaysia and it was this recipe, found in Charles' notebook, which inspired the Tanqueray distillers to create Tanqueray Malacca. Malacca is a mischievous, flavourful gin using an exotic mix of peppercorn, rose and cloves in addition to the four Tanqueray botanicals in Tanqueray London Dry. This achieves a distinctive flavour with a complex and spicy finish.
