Typical features of the 4 varieties in the blend - red current from Cabernet Sauvignon, blackberry from Merlot, plums and spices from Malbec and black jubes and musk from Petit Verdot. A firm structure of acid and tannin, very drinkable.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. The addition of fruit from their Bendigo vineyard has lends a powerful, darker edge. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir features red, blue and black berry fruit aromatics. The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.

The Nautilus Pinot Noir is dark ruby in colour. The complex nose displays floral characters; violets and rose petals, sweet dark cherry, plums, earthy notes and a touch of toasty spice. The palate is concentrated and elegant with a fine dense core of tannins and a long savoury finish.

Deep purple in colour with intense berry fruits and lifted spice on the nose. This typical cool climate Cabernet blend is full bodied and classic. With blackcurrant, blueberry and boysenberry notes, a plummy backbone and fragrant earthy spice. Enjoy now or will certainly reward with careful cellaring. Dense in colour with loads of ripe red fruits, black pepper, and spicy oak aromatics. The palate is loaded with rich red plum and wild berry fruits, and shows well balanced tannin and a silky smooth yet savoury mouth feel.

Deep purple and violet in glass, the nose presents well with darker florals, a touch of cassis, pepper spice and with a lovely dark spiced plum floating in the background. To taste the palate is supple and elegantly managed with gentle tannin and a long savoury spice finish with a hint of spice.
